'Kneel, back towards me!' He calmly commanded. My legs started to tremble with fear. My heart drumming against my ribcage, each beat a slow, deliberate torture. Subconsciously, I obeyed his command. Thud. My knees touched the hard concrete floor, drawing sparks of pain like pinpricks to my knees. I whimpered, knowing that there's nothing I can do but obey. Dust was sent into the air, dancing in circles before me. I stared at them bitterly, craving the same freedom that they have. Freedom seemed so far out of reach, just like the stars in the sky. My want for freedom is an extravagant hope, out of league. I lowered my eyes to the ground, preparing for the inescapable blows. 'Count out loud for me, would you, dog?' He drawled. 'Yes, master.' I muttered huskily. 'Good Dog.' He praised approvingly. My heart fluttered at the praise.
