I don't know where it started. When I woke up, I was in someone else's body. Someone I had tormented for years. .This story may contain themes or content that could be distressing or unsuitable for some readers. Author's Note: I decided to write this story to portray the emotions of someone who has been a victim of bullying and to show the lasting effects that prolonged bullying can have on a person's mental and emotional well-being. My purpose in writing this story is simply to highlight the power of words-the impact that insults, hurtful comments, and even seemingly harmless jokes can have on another human being. I wrote this story for those who bully others or see mocking and making hurtful remarks as entertainment. I hope it helps them understand how a victim may begin to see themselves and their life through the pain they endure, and how the consequences of bullying can be deep, lasting, and heartbreaking.

Four years ago, Jacob JJ Harrens kissed me on the blue bench at Pine-Hollow Pond, called me little Lou, and left Brookside Lane before I could decide if it meant everything or nothing. I spent the next years pretending one summer could not follow me around like a secret I was too embarrassed to admit I kept. Then JJ comes back after his father's death - older, quieter, impossible to read - and suddenly the boy I tried to forget is standing too close, remembering too much, and making every almost feel dangerous. With school two weeks away and Sarah asking questions I am not ready to answer, I know JJ did not come back for me... so why does it feel like he remembers the same story?

"Depends on what book you're reading", Seyi said. Natasha believes romance has to happen the way it does in books-the main characters meet by chance and slowly realize that they are meant for each other, healing the pain from both their pasts-so she would rather die than make the first move towards the boy she likes. Ironically, chance does bring them together when Natasha sees a familiar face through her classroom's window on a hot day at Stephen-Spencer, but books are fictional and real life is more complicated than she could have ever imagined. ****** Updates every Saturday (or bi-weekly-i'll try to stick to schedule)

My name is Britney Prescott. Half Nigerian. Half American. For most of my life, Nigeria was the only home I'd ever known. My mother's first husband abandoned her when my older sister was only three years old, disappearing with every cent she had saved. She was left heartbroken and struggling to survive. Years later, she met my father. He wasn't rich(slightly rich). He wasn't perfect. But he loved her. Together, they built a family-my sister, me, and my younger brother. For years, America felt like a distant dream. My father couldn't afford to bring us there, so we remained in Nigeria. Until now. After years of waiting, we're finally moving to America. I thought it would be the beginning of a better life. I was wrong. UPDATES: Every Weekends (-_-')
