The new guy in the 141, Soap, doesn't have a filter when it comes to flirting. Ghost has no idea how to cope with that. He can't afford to lose face in front of his peers, so he decides to just... play along. The problem is, they keep getting closer, so Soap decides they must be dating. In fact, it is so obvious, everyone agrees- everyone but oblivious Ghost. He is just happy to make a friend, to finally be able to share his past with someone, until he slowly realizes his feelings are growing into much more than friendship. Simon was an unstoppable force, but Fate was an immovable object. Stationary. When you ignore it, and put up walls to secure yourself, it only delays the inevitable. Unavailing. It doesn't stop it. Moments in time slowly drill their way through, picking an open scab until it turns to scar tissue. It will break your skin until it drains you. You will deteriorate into ashes, scattered by the wind. And if you force yourself against Fate, shielded with a lifetime of trauma that you use to protect yourself- you're forced to recognize why you put the walls up in the first place. Every moment full of agony, abuse, anguish. Your walls will crumble, because Fate never fails. And as Fate tore the first wall apart, Simon was pushed.

Soap is thrown into a whirlwind of confusing emotions when the new guy, ' Ghost ', joins the team, little does he know however Ghost is feeling those same sudden feelings. ( This is a fun little fanfic I'm making because ive finished the MW2 campaign, and i loved the two of them so much, the story may not be exactly accurate but it's just for fun, I'm also writing it because i couldnt find a ghostxsoap fanfic that suited my taste, there wasnt many in the smut department and so I've took it upon myself to write something more to my tastes, i dont honestly mind if people read it, its more for myself than others anyway, but I've decided to share it, so please enjoy :) )

Zoro is mentally drained as he hasn't been able to sleep well for the last few days. His nightmares are filled with a reminder of his old "friend" that he'll never be able to protect the one he truly loves...the strawhats and nevertheless to protect Sanji. He is filled with worry that he isn't strong or worthy enough to protect his nakama. Exercising more than usual, and not coming out to eat to avoid questions and concerns about his whereabouts. Eventually, it became too much for him. Causing him to visit a certain curlybrow on their ship, in tears and sorrow.
