Carter Parrish lived a happy, simple life with his mom, and knowing she had found her way back to love was the best news he could have ever received. But love leads to marriage, and marriage brought him a new stepfather, a new house, six new stepbrothers and one especially obnoxious stepsister. When the place he is meant to call home starts to feel like a test to his good-will and patience, Carter needs an escape. He might find just that where he least expects it, after meeting a smart boy with a snarky sense of humor and a secret he doesn't seem to good at hiding, who just so happens to be his football coach's son. Somebody said "change is inevitable, growth is optional". Carter just wished they had left a footnote about how hard it can be. *STORY CONTAINS MULTIMEDIA*

Logan Klicker, a backup goaltender in the NHL, is traded teams shortly after coming out as a rare gay professional athlete. Alone in a new city, in a new team, and trying to navigate being out, he meets his blunt neighbor, Kane Jenkins. Kane Jenkins usually doesn't filter himself, which he applies to his journalism. He has never been a sports guy, so having a professional hockey player as a neighbor is fun. After an incident involving a fat cat, enchiladas, and kindness, the two get close. Follow Logan and Kane as they develop themselves, their relationship, and a call out to the toxic culture of sports when it comes to queer players.

Spencer O'Neil swore to himself that it was a one-time thing until it became a two-time thing and then a three-time thing. But something about Colter Brown made Spencer forget all about logic and reality. Besides, it didn't hurt to hook up with someone who had their own reasons for staying in the closet. It becomes notably complicated, however, when Spencer is traded to Colter Brown's team. Colter swears that being teammates was good for the arrangement, "When have you ever questioned two teammates being close?" Neither of them considered that with a new ability to spend more time together, things would change between them. Add on the complexity of staying silent about sexuality in a league that is taking a new, decidedly harsh, view of queer players and family complications. It was so simple the first time. Now Colter and Spencer have to dangle around barriers to score on their emotions.
