This is my take on the idea of a Varian spin-off series of Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. From chapter 6+, it's my own work. --- Hugo and Varian are dating, when suddenly Hugo wakes up in the middle of the night to Varian floating and glowing - a sight he had only seen once before, when he got possessed by Ulla. Being worried, he tells Varian when he wakes up. They decide they need to go free Ulla, properly this time. But who will they encounter? And what if Varian can't be saved? All of these thoughts race through Hugo's mind as he plans to propose to Varian. Doubt races his mind, as what if Varian says no? And Varian is also worried, what if he levitates again? And Hugo seems to be acting weird, but Varian can't help. He loves the blonde, and is worried for him. On their way to Tonitrua, they struggle to decide if it's worth it. What else might happen to them?

Hugo, the handsome young thief and genius inventor, finds himself head over heels for Varian, the alchemist from Corona, but Varian is clueless to his lab partner's feelings. How much more can Hugo endure before he breaks, possibly ruining their close friendship?

It all started with the trance. The trance that made the boy glassy eyed, trapped in his own mind. The trance that activated his power. And once it's revealed he's the moon drop villains will stop at nothing to get him in their clutches. (Hey this is my first story and please note this isn't going to follow the exact story.
