Well, we all know the stories of The Bogeyman, Baba Yaga, The Headless Horseman, The Babadook, etc. Just fairy tales, right? Stories parents tell their children before bed. Stories used to scare kids into behaving. We've all heard them growing up, and as children, we believe every word. We swear we see shadows move at night. Hear footsteps in the dark. But eventually, we grow up. And just like that, the monsters disappear. At least... for most people. What if I told you some fairy tales were real? That for some people, the monsters under the bed never disappeared. The shadows in the dark never faded. And growing up didn't make the nightmares go away... Somewhere far away in the city of Malmö, Sweden, two boys once had their fairy tales come true. Nick and Eddie were best friends whose bond was almost destroyed by growing up - until a dark fantasy adventure brought them back together once again. Their fairy-tale was supposed to be over. Or so they thought. Years after defeating the witch, the nightmares are gone and life has finally become peaceful. But when a new darkness begins to rise, Nick and Eddie are forced into another terrifying adventure - one that may be far more dangerous than the last. Because some fairy tales never truly end.

Alexandra "Alex" Davis isn't really a famous person. But to millions of anime fans, she's the voice of Kiri, the shadow warrior who saves the world every Saturday morning (literally). At fifteen, Alex has gotten good at living two lives. She records scripted lines in her bedroom with a blanket shoved under the door and keeps a secret bank account her parents definitely aren't supposed to know about. Everything is carefully balanced... until it isn't. When her grades crash and burn, she gets kicked out of her elite gifted school and thrown into a public high school in the middle of LA. Suddenly, her world starts to fall apart. There's a super-fan sitting right behind her in class (he hasn't figured it out yet... but he's getting suspicious). The drama club won't stop trying to recruit her because of her "weirdly perfect voice." And every day, it feels like she's one wrong sentence away from everything coming out. If her fans find her, her parents will find out. If her parents find out, her career is over. Now she just has to survive school long enough to get out... right?

For all my Latin friends reading this For some reason this is number one on the Latino category, arc 2 (Devil's Daughter) has much better Latino representation and features a Latino protagonist. Read that if you're here solely for representation Please vote and follow me if you enjoyed this. 1952, Jersey City. America is turned inside out. Having just broken up with one of the school's golden boys, Emily didn't think she would immediately develop a crush on her new lab partner and the school loner; Elliot Andrews. He's supposed to be intimidating and unapproachable. But she's finding him to be thoughtful, brilliant, and unexpectedly kind. Which is exactly the problem. After mishearing Elliot say he's gay, Emily does the only sensible thing: she buries her growing feelings and pretends they don't exist. The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore what's actually happening between them. Especially when Elliot might not be as indifferent as she thinks.
