Keifer , loved jay but has to lie , has to fake his love , so that his relatives don't target her, they were behind everything he loves and Keifer couldn't afford to lose Jay . So he chose to leave her , lied that he was never in love with her . He chose to accept separation rather than losing a life of his love .
