A world without magic is a world without life. That's what my father told me before he disappeared. I grew up in a little shack, barely scraping by. It was just me and my dad, as my mom passed away before I even uttered my first word. Some days, we couldn't even manage to have a single meal. Life was tough, but amidst it all, I held onto hope. Hope for a brighter future, a future that my dad always spoke of. He filled my mind with tales of the Stormy Seas and Deserted Islands, painting a vivid picture of a world beyond our own. He made me believe that something extraordinary was waiting out there, just for us. He had been talking about this mysterious "something" since I was a baby, and he swore that he would sail the vast waters to find it, to change our lives forever.
