Room 7B isn't just a room. It's a door.
Every night at 2:58 a.m., you hear three knocks - _knock. knock. knock._ - from inside. You open it and see a bed in the middle, a figure under a white sheet.
You pull the sheet down and see your own face staring back.
"Thank you. Now it's your turn."
The door closes, and you're the one inside now, waiting.
It doesn't stop at 7B. There's a 7C, 7D, 7E... all the way to 7Z.
Beyond 7Z is a staircase leading down, lined with thousands of 7Bs, each with a "you" lying under the sheet.
At the bottom is a door with no number. Written on it: _Do Not Open._
At 3:00 a.m., _knock. knock. knock._ comes from the other side.
You open it. There's no room inside - just a mirror.
Your reflection smiles _before_ you do.
It says, "Thank you. Now you guard the door."
You realize the job isn't to keep what's behind the glass from getting out.
It's to keep knocking, to find someone who will open it.
So if you ever hear _knock. knock. knock._ from any door...
Don't open it.
