Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that's what he believed-until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers. Yet for some unclear reason, this group wanted to save him. Especially Tony Stark, the Merchant of Death, saw something in him that Peter himself could not see. For reasons unknown to Peter, Stark wanted to take care of him and show him that the world still had much to offer.

This story is all about Spiderson and Irondad - a.k.a. Peter "I swear I can handle it" Parker and Tony "absolutely not, you're grounded" Stark. Expect found family feels, emotional disasters, chaotic hero antics, and Tony trying (and failing) to keep Peter out of trouble. There'll be fluff, a sprinkle of angst, maybe some tears (mine included), and plenty of "dad Stark" moments no one asked for but everyone secretly loves. The Avengers thought it would be a simple mission. Kill the giant, sixty foot worm monsters, head home and maybe take an hour long shower to get the worm guts off. Peter Parker did not sign up for this.
