(At least the first part anyway) ⚠️ Pomni is walking through the circus one night when she hears something strange, she follows the noise to a far in the back part of the circus and sees Jax doing something unseemly, and wonders how he's taking his clothes off. She tries, but fails, and makes enough noise for Jax to notice and help her out. It's the start of a strange romance, and a saucy night.

After going through all the adventures in Episode 5, Pomni and Jax begin to grow closer... really close. With Pomni's mind set on Jax, an enraged Ragatha is left behind-unable to stand him. This story takes place right after Episode 5 & please know that I just started getting into the series, so forgive me if I make any mistakes. Hope you all enjoy!

Just when I thought everything was finally getting back to normal... everything actually went haywire. He had been sulking for a while... I managed to redeem myself by some miracle and everything started to... go to pot. The circus was collapsing, corruption was running through the corridors... And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, well... it got worse.

Ah, the circus... I didn't miss it. Although, on one hand... If I hadn't gone, I would never have met him, right? We're almost all out, but there are still unanswered questions... Namely... why did Caine want to create another circus? And will the abstracted ever get out?

❝I get these nightmares from time to time, it's nothing.❞ Christine explained, accepting the water Felix handed her. He clicked his tongue, ❝I know what you mean Pom-Pom, seems like everything's a nightmare these days.❞ Everything seemed to have been in slow motion, the half-empty glass falling, her heart thumping against her chest, and her scared, blue eyes made contact with his. Her hands clammy and face pale, ❝What did you just call me?❞ Her voice cracked as Felix's usual snarky composition was replaced with a look of anxiety. It's been eleven months since Christine awoke in an abandoned building. Eleven months since she's been plagued by reoccurring nightmares of a circus, animated characters, and a certain purple haired bunny she couldn't quite get out of her mind. As Christine grapples between the line of reality and insanity, an unexpected encounter with a stranger ignites a spark of recognition. Felix, haunted by his own knowledge of the circus, finds himself drawn to Christine's vulnerability. Christine seeks answers, while Felix wrestles with the burden of the truth, unsure whether to reveal it or protect her from the horrors of their shared past. WORD COUNT: 57,555 WORDS

Pomni swallowed as she watched him, her heart pounding against her ribs. Jax slowly leaned back, still unmoving from the door. "I'd rather let this whole circus burn than to still watch you with her," he said, his voice a low hiss. "And you're with her anyways. I know you still love me." Pomni's frown deepened. "I don't believe you-I-I won't fall for this sick prank, Jax!" she argued, her voice a strained, trembling plea. Jax moved closer, he sighed heavily. "There isn't anywhere in this place you can continue to hide from me," he replied. "Because I'll tear it apart to find you." He leaned in, his eyes burning with intensity. "How many times do I have to remind you? You're mine." "Jax, you can't do this to me," she said, her voice broken and slightly uneven. "You know how I feel about her," he snarled. "And look at you. All you do is circle around Ragatha." He shook his head sharply. "That makes me fucking crazy. How you look at her-fucking-look at me!" he barked. "Jax, you can't erase what I saw from your notebook! I saw how you truly feel!" she argued, her eyes slightly glossy with unshed tears. Jax's grin didn't falter. "And you think that matters now?" he asked, his voice a mocking purr. "That was before. Before I knew what it felt like to have you. Before I knew what it would feel like to lose you." He took another step closer, his hand coming up to cup her cheek, his touch a deceptively gentle caress. "That notebook was a map to a treasure I didn't know I was digging for. But I found you, Pomni. And I'm not letting some... words on a page... take you away from me." "Let me fucking love you again"

Jax is definitely not beating himself up after his argument with Pomni. Why would he, when he's already told her and himself he doesn't care about anyone in the circus? He's determined to keep his actual feelings about the circus members behind the door of his bedroom, all contained to a singular corkboard on his wall. Pomni is determined to continue being friends with Jax, even after their spat, because she knows he was lying his way through it. She's respecting his space as best as she can, until him ignoring her makes her break entirely.
