They all shared wet nurses it's no wonder they look alike! Daeron Targaryen and his twin brother Baelon were born to their mother Alicent Hightower in 117AC while Rhaenyra Targaryen gave birth to Jacaerys Velaryon. To hope to ease the tensions between mothers and to make the boys have a strong bound with one another Viserys had the three share a wet nurse. Unfortunately that did not work and tensions between the mothers only grew while Baelon and Daeron shared that same hated for all three of Rhaenyra's sons as their elder brothers did. When Daeron was but two he was sent to Old Town to squire to Orumund Hightower. For Daeron's sake he did not inherit any of his "crueler" traits. Daeron was kind, courteous, clever, and good. He did try his best to please all. Daeron while being Lord Hightowers squire was primarily raised by Gwayne his uncle becoming his father figure since he was away from his own. Daeron loved Gwayne and much preferred his company. He like his brother feared Orumund too but Daeron did not have Baelon's anger to hide behind. Baelon on the other hand was Lord Orumund's cupbearer and very much had the cruel traits of Orumund. He was cunning, unbothered by cruelty, and very quick to anger and rage. He was also very quick to uphold the Hightowers over the Targaryens, he being primarily raised by Orumund made him believe that. Daeron and Baelon were much more alike than either would admit, but one thing could not be mistaken. Baelon's love for his brother Daeron. And Daeron's love for Baelon. "they were milk brothers and twins. one or the other was always trying to drag their brother out of the fire." started: 7:15/26 finished:

Aerion 'Brightflame' Targaryen died drinking wildfire, believing it was the only way he could become the dragon he was destined to be and finally shed the fleshy body that held his stolen divinity. Great was his shock when he opened his eyes again, his throat still burning and the sensation of fire consuming his organs, in the arms of the woman who had heard so many stories: Rhaenyra Targaryen. "My little Aerion," she had called him. And Aerion understood that this was a second chance granted by the Gods. If he eliminated the rot that had tried to seize the Throne, perhaps the dragons would be saved, and he would finally achieve the glory he so longed for. For that, he had to choose a side, a simple task for him. "I'd rather drown in the bathtub than be in the same place as that whore Hightower," he had said, disgusted and filled with raw, unadulterated hatred. Thus, Aerion 'Brightflame' Targaryen's loyalty had been decided. Aerion would swear fealty to Rhaenyra. Or rather, to Jacaerys Velaryon.
