The characters do not belong to me, they belong to Inanimate Insanity which belongs to Adam Katz. The only thing i own is the storyline, cover art and ideas. People (Objects) are becoming infected with a deadly disease. Paintbrush and Lightbulb seem to be immune, but even if Lightbulb is not infected, she still has to deal with her own personal problems. And Paintbrush, the only price that they have to pay will be... The loss of many of their friends. And maybe even the one closest to them...

OJ's hotel has been absolutely BOOMING lately. And that kind of success was... hard to manage, to say the least. Especially since OJ couldn't seem to find a good assistant to help out with things. He'd tried, sure, but all of them just... fell flat in one way or another. So imagine his surprise when Steve Cobs, the CEO of Meeple Inc., offered to BUILD one for him. On the day of the hotel cleaning, Paintbrush noticed that OJ-whom they had called to inspect the room-looked less energetic. They asked him what happend. OJ explained that he had accidentally ruined a gift from Paper, which had led to three days of awkwardness. He also revealed that they're going to one-week date to make up; Paintbrush dismissed that as unnecessary information. However, Paintbrush accidentally ruins the vase that Lightbulb had decorated and gave them as a gift. To make matters worse, three days after things become awkward between them, the supply of the Blue-ray runs out. This forces Paintbrush to stay by Lightbulb's side to ensure her safety for the week the Blue-ray takes to reproduce. Somehow, OJ's talk about a date comes to mind... Surely, spending time trying to make amends to Lightbulb isn't a "date," right?

Baseball, Lightbulb, and eventually Balloon are captured by Test Tube and forced to partake in experiments that slowly get more and more dangerous. Meanwhile, their friends back at Hotel OJ are desperately trying to find them. (Yes, this is another one of those evil Test Tube experiment fics lol) Trigger warnings: kidnapping , torture , psychological distress , unethical experiments , blood descriptions , electrocution , serious injuries (each chapter will have its own tws these are just the commonly reoccurring ones) Inspired by Inanimate Experiments, Experiment 21 & the song Telescope by Cavetown There will be polybrights mentions during the sections at Hotel OJ (or just outside of the lab in general) jic that bothers anyone. This story is supposed to be a reimagining from the original II history, but the characters are humanized and they attend to an elite school called International Inquiry High School (which is basically just an excuse for me to make some of the characters from other nationalities).
