He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further. He's finally been released of his crush on Percy- yet he refuses to fall for the one and only Will Solace. Many of his closest friends know his sexuality, yet he's aware of the way people always stand clear of his presence. He can't stand the sneers he continues to receive around Camp Half-Blood and isn't bound to add his sexuality to the list of reasons why people judge him. Meanwhile, Will Solace is the brightest and most lackadaisical character placed around Camp Half-Blood. He's denying every tingle that the new Di Angelo delivers to him every time they simply chat or hang out. He's dreading trudging down that road again. {Currently under some extreme editing. Enjoy! / WPOV- I watched in awe as the carriage door opened and the guards carelessly hefted a small boy out. He appeared to be unconscious and I panicked when I saw the blood dripping from his jet black hair. "Be careful with him! He's hurt!" I yelled. They only shrugged and placed the boy in my arms. My heart surged. After one look at him, I saw how completely beautiful he was. \ NPOV- I scrambled to my feet, terrified of what the prince would do with me, but my head pounded and I felt my legs shake and give out. I shut my eyes tight as I started to fall, but just before I hit the ground, a pair of strong, but gentle arms wrapped around me, yet again. I opened my eyes to see the Prince's worried eyes as he held me steady in his arms.

When Will is told he has to go to high school, he doesn't have much of an opinion. Go there, protect some students, hang out with people he barely knew, be over with it. Fine, whatever. Though he finds himself having to be near a Nico Di Angelo an awful lot... Nico'd rather not be near anyone, period. People were annoying, after all, and he didn't trust them much. He was only here because he didn't feel like saying no. He's forced to be near a certain Will Solace, though, and said Will Solace may just change his mind on people. After a wild party on the last day of Junior year, Will Solace may have...accidentally...got way caught up in the alcohol. He may even had hooked up with someone who, in a million years, he would never hook up with. Especially when it risked revealing his sexuality he had been repressing for years. Although, he doesn't entirely remember it, and neither does Nico di Angelo-the annoying know-it-all who always seemed to be more focused on studying than partying. In fact, he didn't even want to go to the party, he was dragged to the place by his step-sister, and he's never been more annoyed by a jock than he has with Will. Plus, he's in love with the hopelessly beautiful Percy Jackson. The two would definitely prefer to go their separate ways-except for the fact that they both ended up at the same summer internship fighting for the same position. This was gonna be one hell of a summer.

"Careful human." The...thing said in a concerned voice. "W-What are you, what d-do you want?" I shakily asked him, curling up my body protecting myself. "Shh human don't be afraid. You are my mate." It was a deep teal green colour with gold and blue blended in with it that reminded me of his eyes. I asked slowly, my heartbeat had almost reduced to normal again but I was feeling a strange pull towards the creature in front of me. "I am a Merman and you are my mate." His voice was deep and sounded like music the way he spoke. But mate? "Mate?" I asked hoping to find out the way in which he directed this word. "My love," he paused looking into my hazel eyes. "Come closer human you are beautiful...and mine."
