Summary: Ash and Misty went their separate ways when Misty was forced to be the Gym Leader in Cerulean City and Ash went to continue his Pokémon journey in Hoenn. Naturally, the two best friends wouldn't just stop talking to each other. They exchanged letters throughout Ash's adventures, always keeping in touch, never forgetting about the years they spent traveling together. This story is a collection of letters and events that happen during them and how the 13 year old Ash and Misty still stay connected despite their distance.

Emma Ketchum, daughter of Ash and Misty Ketchum, is traveling with her fellow Pokemon Trainer friends through Johto when they get mixed up with an evil organization that is, yet again, attempting to take over the region. Plans, backup plans, and backup backup plans backfire, resulting in a pretty chaotic, disastrous situation: time travel. Not only does Emma have to worry about safely getting back to the future with her friends, but on making sure her newest friends don't find out who she really is. Can she get back to where she truly belongs, or will she forever be stuck in the past?

Ash and Misty have gone their separate ways for years now. The two Trainers are now 17 years old and have decided to put their responsibilities and ambitions on hold to travel together again through Kanto- just the two of them. Team Rocket continues their plans to try and capture Pikachu, but Ash and Misty grow bored of the trio's attempts and soon begin a competition between themselves to make matters a bit more... interesting.
