This is a story about Louis Tomlinson, a 29-year-old superstar. He is particularly famous for being in the biggest band on the planet, but One Direction is on an 18-month hiatus. Louis probably took it the hardest of all four. He didn't know how to do it alone, all alone. That's not the only thing that bothers him-Louis has been feeling down for a while now. The only form of escape he can find is by hurting himself, and he just wants it all to stop. But he lies, he cries, and he tries. He lies that he's fine, he cries himself to sleep, and he tries to hide it as best as possible. But everybody breaks once...
Now it's just fake girlfriends, late-night breakdowns, blood, and a load of problems. Then a few strange coincidences occurred, making it feel like there may be hope for him... Will Louis ever experience true happiness again? Will Louis even make it? What if it seems like it's all going to be alright? It couldn't be this easy, right?
Enter Harper Blake, a freelance writer and journalist who has her quiet struggles, having lost her younger brother to suicide. When she begins working on an article about the mental toll of fame, she reaches out to Louis, offering a chance for him to tell his story. But as they connect, Louis begins to open up in ways he hasn't before.
Harper becomes an unexpected constant in Louis' life, a grounding force who listens without judgment. But Harper's grief, hidden behind her professional façade, threatens to unravel their fragile connection.
With trust eroding and danger closing in, Louis must face not only his internal battles but the external ones that threaten to tear him apart. Can Louis and Harper both survive the truth about their pasts, or will it drive them further into the darkness?
The fanfiction was originally written by the incredible @Sarah_Horanson. This story now continues with a twist of my own-deeper, darker, and more thrilling than ever.
