Lieutenant Trysta "Hurricane" Lockhart is the best in her unit in not just demolitions but also has specialized sniper training and typically placed on overwatch because of this. A female in a male dominated USMC unit, she has learned to take zero guff and backs her attitude up when men challenge her. When the infamous 141 shows up on her base for both possible recruitment of new members and to offer additional training to her unit, Trysta thinks nothing of it. Until she crosses paths with Simon "Ghost" Riley. The two Lieutenants are so alike it's scary. When Trysta is offered a position with the Elite Task Force as a sniper and demolition expert, she accepts. The more they work and train together, Trysta and Simon feel themselves gravitating to one another. Simon finds himself wanting to unravel her layer by layer, yet feels her bringing back to life parts of him he swore had been killed by Roba.

A botched mission gets the 141 involved with the NSA. The Agent and Ghost share a professionally distant relationship on the outside. In Ghost's mind, he's much closer to her.

" ...Do you have anything new to report since we've last spoken?" The voice of Colonel Vargas lessened to a muffled hum, her attention being stolen by the tallest of them all who stood sentry beside the room's entrance. His eyes were so... dark, intense, focused. ...She had never seen such eyes.

War doesn't wait for the innocent. When Task Force 141 stumbles across a five-year-old girl hiding in the ruins of a collapsing city, they're forced to make an impossible choice - leave her behind, or protect her while carrying on their mission. Bruised, silent, and clinging to survival, the child becomes more than just a responsibility. To Captain Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz, she becomes a symbol of everything they're fighting to save in a world torn apart by violence. But every step they take with her puts all of them in greater danger. And in the midst of chaos, 141 learns that sometimes the smallest soul can leave the biggest mark on hardened soldiers' hearts.

Exhausted and sleep deprived, a simple error in reaction time, put Simon 'Ghost' Riley, on mandatory sick leave after catching a sniper bullet. An order from Price, to get off base, left him searching for a place to recuperate. He never would have thought that an advert in a military bulletin board would change his life forever and heal more than his bullet wound. Short story based in the modern warfare universe, but doesn't follow the timeline. This was a fluff piece I'd started to distract me from being stuck on another story. Rather than struggle to make a full story from just an arc, I decided to keep it as a short story. Enjoy xx

An expert forensic team are called to the base to investigate a digital security breach, leading to the 141 team hosting one of the investigators. Their temporary guest, a rather odd young woman, seems to have an extreme and rather troubling reaction to Ghost's presence. But when clues to her strange behaviour are uncovered, Ghost's anger and suspicious nature gets the best of him and his quest for answers, forces him to face the darkest parts of himself. So this is a wee bit different. This story formed part of a longer work in progress. However, as that story grew, it was clear that this arc, added an unnecessarily complicated aspect to my main protagonist. Rather than let the longer story get too messy, I decided to make this a short story on it's own. The character is similar but I did end up changing her name and back story.

Rora Wells was one hell of a woman. A woman who left havoc and chaos wherever she went, and laughed Death in the face. That was until she met Simon Riley, who was like a cold, stone wall in the middle of the tornado she caused, unaffacted by anything and everything. But that was just the surface.
