She doesn't remember her name. She doesn't remember who she was before they took her. Some days, she is not sure she was anyone at all. What remains are fragments she can't trust and a body that remembers far more than her mind ever will. Pain. Blood. A cage. And a man she couldn't save. Years later, she has stopped searching for the woman she used to be. What remains is stitched together from blood and shadows, driven by a singular desire. Death. So she gives herself one purpose: find the people who made her this way and kill them. Revenge is the only thing keeping the monster inside her pointed in the right direction. It should have been simple. Then three winged fae find her first. Aurelian, Korax, and Jordyn have spent years searching for someone who can free their brother-and somehow, that search leads to her. They think she cursed him. She knows she didn't. Convincing three centuries-old fae of that proves considerably harder. Now she has a choice that isn't really a choice: help save their brother, and they'll help her find the woman at the top of her kill list. But the magic imprisoning him is disturbingly familiar. Buried memories are resurfacing. Her abilities are becoming harder to control. And the darkness following her is beginning to feel less like a consequence of what was done to her-and more like it has been waiting for her. The brothers want to know what she is. So does she. Whatever truths await her, they change nothing. Their brother will be free. The Crimson Mother will die by her hand. And whatever she has to become to see both done-so be it.
