When Braedimus Prime and Daphne Blake are kidnapped by toy collector Al McHiggin, it's up to Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky Dog, Rex, Hamm, and Mr. Potato Head, to go forth and rescue their comrades before they are taken away to a toy museum in Japan. But, the two toys, after seeing that they're part of a hit animated action movie and franchise, they don't want to leave. Woody is a kind toy, who wants nothing more than to be there for his kid, Mady. But, when a new toy called Buzz comes, and gets himself into trouble with two other new toys, it's up to Woody and his partner Optimus Prime to save the day.

Mady is now grown up and heading to college. Her toys now get mixed up and donated to a day care center. After learning of the mix up, they must find a way to get back home before Mady leaves!

Between Houki becoming Andy's favorite toy, as well as her being popular among the other toys, Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu become jealous. Eventually, their jealousy leads to them, Woody, Buzz, and the others ending up in their destructive neighbor kid's house. They must find a way out before Andy moves to another house in the coming days. Along the way, they meet new toys who are desperate to escape Sid's house. While Mady is at Disney Camp, Elsa, Optimus, and Ruby are toy-napped by a private toy collector. Woody, Buzz, and their new friend Jessie and the others now must head off to find them, and bring them home before Mady gets home.

Andy is now grown up and ready to leave for college. When his toys, who have not been played with in years, almost get thrown away by accident, they decided to sneak into the donation box and get donated to Sunnyside Daycare. Despite the daycare being promising, Woody believed Andy still loved them and they must return to him.
