Two years have passed since Link sealed the Four Sword... Two years since Green, Red, Blue, and Vio faded back into one body. Two years since Shadow Link vanished into the darkness. Hyrule has been peaceful - almost too peaceful. But on the second anniversary of Vaati's defeat, Link begins waking up in places he doesn't remember. He hears voices that sound like his own. He sees flashes of red, blue, and purple in the corner of his vision. And when he dreams... he isn't alone. The Four Links are returning. Not as memories. Not as illusions. But as warnings. Something is stirring in the Dark Mirror - something that remembers the hero who once split into four. Something that refuses to stay sealed. And this time, the darkness isn't after Zelda. It's after Link himself. A continuation of the Akira Himekawa Four Swords manga, set two years after the ending. New enemies. New secrets. New bonds. And a hero who must face the four pieces of his heart... all over again.

On the morning of Farore's Day, Link expects nothing more dangerous than flying pillows, bad singing, and the chaos of Hero Week at the Academy. But before dawn breaks, something else wakes first. A hum. A pulse. A presence. It follows him out of sleep - cold, ancient, and impossibly aware. Everyone else is celebrating the sacred week that honors the goddesses. Link is trying to forget the shadow that leaned toward him in the dark. But the land itself seems to remember him... even if he doesn't remember it. As ceremonies begin and the kingdom stirs to life, something stirs far beyond its borders - something that has waited through ages for a hero to notice its return. And Link felt it notice him. When the first day of Hero Week ends, the world will not be the same.

Below them, a voice called up from the courtyard, urgent and breathless. "Princess Zelda! Link! Message from Gerudo Town!" The word Gerudo landed like a stone in still water. Zelda's fingers tightened on the railing. Link's hand moved, almost without thought, to the hilt of his sword. A lookout came up the stairs, dust on his boots, a sealed scroll clutched in both hands. The seal bore the mark of the Gerudo Chief. Zelda broke it with fingers that did not tremble, though the air around her had gone thin. She read the parchment once, then again, as if the letters might rearrange themselves into something less alarming. Her face shifted through a dozen small expressions: curiosity, puzzlement, then a slow, gathering concern. "What is it?" Link asked, voice low. Zelda folded the letter with care and met his eyes. "Riju says a child was found in the desert. A boy." The words were precise, measured. "Near the ruins of the Lightning Temple. Unconscious. Alone."

Princess Zelda believes you can help him. Link believes he doesn't need you. And you... you're not sure what to believe anymore. Thrown into a partnership neither of you wanted, you and Link must learn to trust each other as shadows gather on the horizon. Secrets rise. Bonds form. And the first sparks of a disaster that will one day reshape Hyrule begin to burn. This is the story before the story. The forgotten knight. The unspoken bond. The beginning of everything. **A canon‑friendly BOTW pre‑Calamity AU about loyalty, destiny, and the knight who guarded the hero long before the world knew his name.** --- Oc charcter (request from Friend Brical180!)
