A short little story, about a young person struggling in life and finding his peace in nature. Foreword: Please excuse any typos and grammar mistakes I might have missed, I wrote this as someone who is dyslexic, in his second language. Also, it might be not the most incredible writing, since it's my first story I finished after a 3+ year slump.

Love. A concept that is interpreted differently. To some, it's emotion. To some, it's connection. To some, a choice. To some, it's meaning. But there are times, when it means nothing to the beholder. Growing into war, (Y/N) (L/N) had never experienced loved for himself. Shaped by the cruelty of the world, he was never once shown any emotion aside fear and grudging respect. A being of apathy and zero mercy, he does what he is told and carries it out without question as to why. After saving his kingdom and returning as a warhero, the Princess he fought for is kidnapped by a new enemy and he must go to retrieve her. Allied with friends and foes alike, he traverses the various obstacles in his way, all the while being nurtured by the only person in the world who knows best what motherhood looks like.
