Dean Winchester is Alpha of his pack, The Hunters. They're located up in the mountains. Their rivals, The Demons, are in the forest at the base of their mountain. When the Demons trespass on Hunter land, Dean goes to confront them. He comes to find they chased a lone wolf. This certain wolf draws Dean immediately, making him fall heavily. It's because of this wolf that hell ensues among the packs.
