"You liked her looking at you," Seokjin whimpered, his hands braced on Namjoon's sculpted chest. "Didn't you, Alpha? She was pretty. A Beta with a sweet scent-"
Namjoon's golden eyes were blown wide, dark with arousal and something softer underneath as his large hands gripped his mate's tiny waist.
"Baby," he breathed, voice wrecked. "I didn't even notice her. I was watching you the whole time. You, always you."
Seokjin's pout wobbled, a tear sliding down his rosy cheek.
"Liar," he whispered, but his hips kept moving, chasing his own pleasure even as his heart ached. "She leaned over the table. She probably smelled your scent. Probably wanted-"
Namjoon sat up in one fluid motion, wrapping his arms around his tearful, jealous Omega, flipping them so Seokjin was pinned beneath him-their bodies still connected.
"I don't want anyone else, Firefly," the Alpha murmured, pressing kisses to the wet tracks on his mate's cheeks. "Not then, or now, or ever. You're the only one who's ever made me feel like I'm worth something."
Seokjin hiccuped, fragile fingers clutching Namjoon's shoulders. "Promise?"
Namjoon smiled soft, devastating, dimpled. "On the Moon Goddess and on our bond. On everything we went through to be together."
The Omega pulled him down by the nape, kissing him messy and desperate, tasting salt and devotion.

They made it.
After the locked doors, the burned gifts, the running barefoot through midnight streets-after the abuse and the screaming and the crushing weight of a father who saw a monster in his Omega son's Alpha mate-Namjoon and Seokjin finally have their freedom to love openly.
For the first time in four years, they breathe without looking over their shoulders.
But happiness isn't the same as healing.
Outside their bubble, the pack is rotting. And the past isn't finished with them yet.
