The Smith siblings, Kai and Nya, together with their little foster brother, Lloyd, try to survive their difficult life with their abusive foster parent. They live far from everything, have little to no personal possessions, and lead difficult lives as their guardian's source of income. All they have is each other. One day, just as things start to become unbearable in the siblings' lives, an old sensei comes to meet the three siblings and makes them an all too intriguing offer. He gives them the chance to a new life. How will the siblings cope with the drastic transition from being neglected in an abusive household to living in a peaceful monastery amongst kind and caring people? How will their broken mindsets and crippling fears affect them and their parts in a prophecy? How will two boys both dressed in green find peace after a war lights up between them? ------------- This story is only meant to be a bit of fun for me and my readers, so it won't be as well-written as my other books. Timeline not same as the show. It's totally different. --- No one knows what had happened to Kai right after the merge. They mostly just brushed it off as mystery. But occasionally, some of the ninja would ask him what happened, and he would just brush it off as "It's fine." The ninja know it's not fine. Every time Kai got asked that question or if the topic came up, he would just clam up. Wouldn't speak much. Wouldn't answer and change the subject most of the time. And if he did answer, it would just be short and irritated. But Nya senses Kai's hurt. He's traumatised, she thinks. Nya wants to find out. But the truth about Kai comes out sooner than he expected. It is right after the Final Battle in Ninjago, and the ninja team needs a break- desperately. To relax, Sensei Wu, now united with his brother Garmadon, take the ninja ( and Nya ) up to the Ninjago Camp Grounds for some peaceful relaxation... Or so they think. After a night of scary tales, young Lloyd Garmadon is scared, and the ninja use this against him. As a result, the team is divided... Until the next day, when they wake up, and Lloyd's parents and Sensei Wu have gone missing! The only thing remaining from them- An ominous note, threatening the ninja if they dare go search. Will they unite to help their young friend, or will anger and discord keep them from finding their Sensei?
