Saffron Hardy is the sole survivor of an "exploratory expedition" into space on the ship known as 'Hermes I' woke up alone and stranded. With all his crew dead and forgetting his own name, birthplace, and most things about him, he tries to figure out why he was so far from his home planet and star. In the same process, he's also trying to figure out his own fuzzy memories and remember who he was. It's up to him to figure out why exactly he's out here in the first place, whilst handling the fact he is truly alone out here - or is he?

Hades is a teenager in his final year at Olympa Academy for the Supernatural. He's about to sit his A-levels, and, after he sists the exams, get given his domain by the Fates. He's nervous, as he's the first in his family to be given their fates in the new system of the 'Olympians', the ones who will bring peace and freedom. A daunting title and idea for a kid who already pressures himself more than anyone else in his family. In this time, waiting for the time for his fate to be determined by the Fates, he meets Persephone. A bright transfer student who is immediately befriended by the overprotective Demeter, but takes a fancy to Hades. They need to find a way to twist the will of the Fates to their advantage so they don't get split up when Hades is given his domain, all while dancing around dangers and threats they hadn't preconceived. "Well, yours are beautiful too." "What, like dirt? Like wood?" "Like the corners of the oldest books in the library. Like the sweet embrace of a strong coffee on a cold day.
