I always thought we were destined to be together. A decade together and what seemed like the perfect love story. Until one day, it slowly started to unravel at the seams. I realized our "perfect" love story only looked so perfect because I was being complacent. Once I started to speak up for myself, the facade crumbled and it all came crashing down. This is my story.

He promised me forever. He swore I was the only woman in his world. For two years, I believed every word. I believed the late night whispers. The soft kisses. The vows he practiced before the mirror when he thought I wasn't watching. On our wedding day, dressed in white and walking toward the man I thought I knew, I discovered the truth. The woman he called his stepmother was his secret lover. The little boy he introduced as his stepbrother was his son. And the fairy tale I thought I was living was nothing but a carefully crafted lie. So instead of saying "I do," I exposed him. In front of everyone. The guests. The cameras. The world. But humiliating him at the altar was only the beginning. Because a broken heart can cry. Or it can plan.

Done with being everyone's pushover, Marissa decides to take a step back from the friends who betrayed her, quit her toxic job, and find a lucrative job in the company of her dreams. The catch? She will have to work under her childhood bully, turned stepbrother, Gideon. And as an added stipulation, she'll need to go back home for Friday night dinner every week. Seraphina Calloway always believed she would recognize betrayal if it ever came near her marriage. She imagined it loud. Obvious. Unforgivable. She never imagined it would look like this. Like her husband smiling at another woman the way he used to smile at her. Like late-night messages that weren't inappropriate - just intimate. Like emotional comfort slowly being outsourced. And she definitely never imagined standing outside a glass office in downtown Los Angeles... Watching her husband hesitate before pulling away from another woman's lips. The kiss wasn't hungry. It wasn't desperate. It was worse. It was familiar. And in that single second - She realized she had already been replaced emotionally long before that moment happened. She didn't scream. She didn't storm in. She simply turned... And walked away from the life she thought was unbreakable.

I have a story to tell you. One about love-- the kind that swears forever under starlight... And the kind that leaves you waiting at 2:00 a.m. in a dress he'll never come home to see. Once, he kissed me like I was the only thing that made sense. Now he won't even look at me. The vows were real. The silence is louder. The bed is cold. I keep telling myself it's just another rough patch. But the candles burn out. The food goes cold. And his green eyes aren't soft anymore- just angry. One day, he stops coming home. One day, the doctor says words I can't unhear. One day, a stranger with hazel eyes asks if I'm okay. And I wish they were green. For a while. But this isn't a story about waiting. It's a story about finally walking away. About the woman who stayed too long- and the one she chose to become after. Live it with me. Won't you? #2 Discovery (02/14/2026) #2 triangle (02/14/2026) #1 rollercoaster (02/19/2026)

When I started posting my stories online, I didn't expect much traction. It was a fun outlet for the ideas I had swirling around my head. My husband supported my crazy storylines and listened to me narrate out loud the silly plots I planned to write. When a publisher contacted me to see if I would be interested in releasing one of my stories, I thought I was dreaming. I soon discovered it was all a prank and my favourite hobby turned my world into a real life storyline of betrayal and heartbreak. TW: - Online abuse/bullying - Betrayal by H (no cheating)
