The city of Troy is at war because of a crime committed by none other than one of their own princes. Paris's actions affect everyone inside the city walls- including two particular women. Princess Hero is the youngest of King Priam and Queen Hecuba's children. She was only seven years old when the war came. Now a young woman, she feels trapped- trapped inside the palace and by the prospect of marriage when she would rather be an unmarried priestess. She desperately wants the war to be over. When a poorly executed strategy ends with her a prisoner at the Achaean camp, she is presented with a new opportunity. Now, the crafty Trojan princess works to sabotage the enemy from the inside. Since Adrasteia was twelve years old, she has worked as the palace apothecary. However, when Princess Cassandra's mind turned on her, Adrasteia was reassigned to be her caretaker. Now, nine years into the bloody war, she notices that Cassandra's hysterical ramblings are starting to line up with what is happening in real life. Upon this realization, she must reckon that perhaps her ward's ramblings really are prophetic and not just the crazed words of a mad woman.

Astyanax has always felt like the odd one out among his peers. Raised by Scythian nomads, he always knew that his parents weren't his by birth, but that's just left him with a desire to know where he came from. On his fifteenth birthday, the Amazon who brought him to his family comes to visit and reveals the truth. Astyanax is the son and heir of Hector, crown prince of the lost city of Troy. And it is his destiny to avenge his father, people, and city on the Achaeans.

Pluto the cat was happy. He lived in a comfortable house with his master and mistress and their other pets. He loved them, and they loved him- until one day. Suddenly, Pluto can sense his master turning sour. The man begins to mistreat his wife and the other animals. But Pluto is beyond his reprimand- until one night. The master comes home, odder than ever. When Pluto bites the hand that fed him in self-defense, he experiences the worst betrayal- mutilation and death by the master he loved. But upon Pluto's death, he is given a second chance- to redeem his master through the power of love. And if that fails- he can burn the man who betrayed him and all he owns down in revenge. Basically random essays I write for school or for fun (yes I write essays for fun sometimes, I'm a nerd, don't judge me) Mature rating because a lot of my essays for fun are about Greek mythology and we all know what that can entail.

ATHENS, GREECE - 550s BCE Acantha is the twelve-year-old daughter of Evander, one of Athens' most important politicians. Still a barefooted wild child who loves to wrestle and race with her brothers, she is hardly ready for womanhood- and yet it is thrust on her abruptly when her father announces her imminent marriage to Leonidas, one of his political colleagues. Acantha is forced to dull her fire... until, at eighteen years old, she meets Danaë, the daughter of a Spartan merchant, and an intriguing girl who shows Acantha a world of freedom that she never knew existed.
