Alethea has always been awkward - eccentric, even. On a typical day she spends her time cloistered inside a tiny apartment hiding from the world she doesn't really understand. When her therapist encourages her to push herself outside her comfort zone, Thea makes an ill-fated trip into the city. Even though her therapist assured her nothing would go wrong, Thea gets attacked and sent to purgatory, which is, for someone who is agoraphobic, claustrophobic, germaphobic, the worst nightmare imaginable. Even worse? She may never be able to get back to the comfort of her apartment. She may not even want to. Cover made by the talented @Tanii915

Leah is beautiful, outgoing, and popular. Because of this, she's gotten everything she's ever wanted. Except for one thing. All she's ever really wanted was to please people, but she never seems to be able to. Unlike her friends, she doesn't care about any of the superficial things that seem so important. To Leah, if something isn't fair, it just isn't right. So when an isolated classmate named Blake gets to listen to music during class while no one else can, she can't help but feel annoyed by him. When their English teacher partners the two of them up for a project that will last them the entire school year, this only adds fuel to the fire. Their assignment is to create a song describing their relationship. Sounds easy, right? Not for these two. Blake is different, and Leah is about to find out that different is just what she wants and needs. But what she doesn't know is that Blake has a secret, and it's something he desperately wants to keep from her. Falling in love with someone isn't as easy as it might seem. Life isn't fair, but Leah and Blake are about to find out that love isn't either.

Being bullied has become a part of Gwen Patton's life, and all she ever wanted was a friend. Especially when every aspect of her life is miserable. So when she meets geeky and socially awkward, Max Henderson at Louis' Diner she intends on keeping the rumors about her and her past under wraps. In fact I expected that from Pa and an earful when we see each other whether that be tonight or tomorrow. I know for a fact that Pa will not forgive me for ruining what little percent he thought he had at moving forward in his career. As we walk back to his house I murmur, "You look better without your hair covering up your beautiful eyes." He looks at me surprised. "Really?" he questions incredulously. I nod. "Why so surprised?" "Because m-most people find m-my eye color a bit-t odd," he explains. "Not me." He stays silent for a minute digesting what I said before he murmurs into my ear, "And you look your b-best when no one is p-pushing you to dress a-as somebody you're n-not."

If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters. Just like in life, there will be moments of dread and surrender, but there will also be moments of happiness, laughter, and love. - Naomi Lorraine, better known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick-rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. Even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. However, she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her. There are three senior transfer students, dubbed the Three Musketeers: Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch. All in one day, Naomi catches their attention one by one. With her snarky attitude, but innocent look, they can't help but want her. But not the way you're thinking. Oh no, not like that. Instead, it's probably the whole opposite. It's quite simple really. She'll be their good girl. And they'll be her bad boys. ~ [This story is a first draft written by a 13 to 15-year-old girl so it has its fair share of grammar mistakes and plot holes.] Wattys 2015 Talk of the Town Award Second Place Story of 2015 Best Humor and Overall Points of The Fiction Awards 2016 Third in the Writers Awards 2016 Highest Ranks: #1 Humor, #1 Teen Fiction
