Cheng Zu and Mei are the main characters of this story set in South Korea. Cheng Zu, also known as Zu, is a 16-year-old creative boy. He's very intelligent, although his academic grades don't reflect that. He is quiet and introverted, preferring to stay in his own little world. Mei is Zu's classmate and the president of the culture club. She is smart and funny, and although she and Zu are very different, that's what Mei finds intriguing-she enjoys seeing the world from a different perspective. Both teenagers attend the same art high school and share all their classes. Despite their differences, they experience many things together during their youth. Unfortunately, after going through numerous challenges, the bond that connected them broke, and they went their separate ways. Years later, that fragile bond suddenly reappears, bringing them back together. After all the time apart, they finally realize how much they truly needed each other's companionship.
