What happens when you put two rival college athletes in the same room? If you said anything other than sliding straight into third base, you'd be wrong about Beckett Young and Prince Albright. Despite the hothead that Beckett Young is, he has a very bright future ahead of him in the MLS...as long as he doesn't screw it up first. However, he does have a long list of fuck-ups and factors that can contribute to said fuck-ups like insomnia, a failing appetite, an ill-mother, a past he refuses to confront, and so much more than he shoves down into the emotionally constipated person that he is. If you ask him, he'd definitely say he's justified in being a brat. As for Prince Albright, he couldn't be more different. Despite having a notorious reputation for sleeping around, the hockey captain is quite the people pleasing sweetheart, but not by choice. It comes at the cost of trying (and failing) to manage his mental health considering his OCD has come back and reared its ugly head. And like Beckett, he also has his fair share of hardships like a famous family that he can never please, an unsupportive team, and his slowly dwindling passion for hockey. With two broken people, that makes for one unconventional relationship-a messy arrangement that leaves their severed patterns and scrambled selves vulnerable to being adored by the other. You could even argue that their growing feelings toward one another causes a wrench in their plans. If you want a story full of complexity, chaos, and a few too many insults, this one is perfect for you.

Blood for blood, bite for bite. Who gets to walk away? _____ Harper Moon is a bottom-of-the-barrel vampire and one of the most notorious vandals of the modern west coast. In theory, it could admit him into the most coveted private artistry academy the vampiric species has ever mustered up. But in practice, it could be what serves him on a plate instead. Every other year for their twentieth birthdays, those at the bottom are rounded up and assigned a mentor from the ones at the top, and trained for one year to compete in the largest biennial artistic competition for all vampires to watch. Those that are chosen are debuted as the next generation of artistic machinery for the elite. Those that are not, could be food. In a last-ditch attempt to break out of his lot in life and see himself free, Harper joins the ranks in hopes of working his way out. But talent is not the only thing the games necessitate, and art is not so black and white under a scrutinizing eye. When the competition begins to melt into more than just a game of the talents, but of his very mind, Harper will come to find the world of the arts is a brutal battlefield, that passion harbors a gruesome side, and the intricate politics of what it really means to be free may not be a game he can play alone. It's glamour, greed, gore, and greatness. And nowhere is too far to go just to have a taste. [ONGOING] [#1 in VAMPIREACADEMY] [#2 in GAMES] [#2 in ARTBOOK]
