[BxB] Aiden Rowe never asked for hockey. He doesn't like the cold, the crowds or the jocks. He'd much rather spend his time watching birds. But when he gets stuck covering the Port Howe Puffins for the school paper, his senior year suddenly revolves around freezing rinks, team dinners, deadlines and a sport he doesn't really understand. Somewhere between the chaos though, he finds someone who actually sees him and maybe hockey and Port Howe aren't the worst things after all. A soft, quirky and occasionally unhinged story about finding warmth (and love) in the unlikeliest of places. Content warning: lots of bird nerding Note: This is very much a queer romance with mature themes. Cover by @surrenderedstories

{hockey boyxboy} The Admirals' beloved captain can lead his team to victory, but he can't say the words "I love you." Not to his teammate. Not to a man. But not everyone is okay with being loved in the dark.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hudson Turner is the kind of captain who never slips. Golden boy. Oldest son. Augustine Academy's pride. He doesn't make mistakes - especially not ones that could cost him everything. Pierre Lavoie is undeniably talented. Magnetic. Unapologetically himself. And, most importantly, he's dangerously uninterested in pretending. What starts as chemistry on the ice turns into something harder to ignore - lingering touches in the locker room, almosts that leave them both aching for more, an insatiable hunger that neither one knows how to survive. One of them is ready to be seen. The other is terrified of what that will cost. Falling for his teammate was never part Hudson's plan. But some connections are impossible to ignore...

San Jose Sharks alternate captain Lukas Matterson has been in the NHL long enough to know how this works. Do your job, fulfill your responsibilities, don't make a spectacle of yourself, and above all, don't get involved in any messes. Mathias Söderlund is a mess. Mathias, the shamelessly confident and infuriatingly cocky forward for the Los Angeles Kings, seems to have made it his life's mission to unsettle Lukas every time they meet. Mathias brings with him a kind of chaos Lukas can neither ignore nor fully understand. Lukas Matterson and Mathias Söderlund are used to hating each other. But as the tension between them intensifies, the power struggle that began on the ice starts drifting into more dangerous waters. What once felt like hate begins to grow into something Lukas doesn't know how-and doesn't want-to name. Or in short: You have sex with the wrong guy once, and he never leaves you alone.
