The households in India have been run by women primarily, following the centuries old tradition. From taking care of the child's breakfast to ensuring that the mother in-law's morning cup of tea is served on time, it is always the woman of the household. She is a wife, a daughter, a daughter in-law, a mother.... But who is she in reality? Mrinalini. The name was abruptly forgotten the moment she stepped into the Acharya household as a married woman. She became Mrinal for her husband, Bouma (daughter in-law) for her in-laws and other elders, Boudi(sister in-law) for her brothers in-law and Mrs. Acharya or Acharya Boudi for outsiders. Her identity was forgotten as she gradually accepted her duties as a married woman, as a daughter in-law and as someone who was expected to sacrifice. Their home wasn't a mansion or even a bungalow. There were financial constraints and there were challenges like every other middle class home. Not everything was easily available, apart from that one thing that was abundant and pravalent: PATRIARCHY She was taken for granted like most women in India are. Maybe there was love, maybe there was no mistreatment yet Mrinalini felt the walls around her constricting on her and causing her asphyxiation. This is the story of a bird compelled to live in a locked, golden cage... Will she ever liberate herself and fly? ... Dedicated to all the Indian mothers and women and to women all around the world who dedicated their entire lives to raise their children, to give love and to be selfless. ... This story doesn't aim to hurt or offend anyone's thoughts or sentiments. This is a work of pure fiction that came to my mind after watching the Bengali movie, 'Mukherji da r Bou'. The concept and the story and the characters explored in the story are all going to be my creation and my own original ideas. No plagiarism intended or supported. My work is copyrighted

An Arranged Setup that Sparkled into a Love Story of Its Own. »»---♡---«« 'His nose is crooked!' 'I think he has some gray hair!' 'He looks too mature for his age!' 'Nah! He is seven years older than you!' 'One of his eyes seems smaller!' 'Don't you think he is smiling too much in this photo?' 'God! I wonder how, even after looking at hundreds of biodatas every day, none could catch my parents' attention. With every biodata they see, they manage to point out some flaw or another.' »»---♡---«« An Indian Arranged Marriage Story. Modern-day marriages are no cakewalk, and arranged marriages are certainly not. Set against an Indian backdrop, "Love Unrushed!" explores not only the complexities of an arranged marriage but also the pursuit of individual happiness within the confines of societal norms. If you are up for a simple and subtle blooming love story, ponder-worthy thoughts with social stigmas and taboos effortlessly slipped in here and there, and some real, relatable characters, then this story is definitely for you. You will find a part of Riya and Aditya hidden within you as they navigate their arranged marriage, unveiling the hidden layers of their personal and professional insecurities. There will be no unrealistic villains or overdramatic plots, but this story will undoubtedly highlight the true version of how marriages are arranged in India. Thus, this book tends toward a realistic portrayal with a touch of fiction. Please be kind. This book is under editing and the chapters with (•) are recently edited. Rest are in progress.

Life is cruel, but sometimes strangely kind. Failure can break you-but what if it also reshapes you? What if the pieces you thought were lost are only waiting for someone else's broken pieces to complete them? This is not a story of perfect love. This is the story of Dhruv Rajput and Ishita Ranawat - two souls scarred by betrayal and pain, who once believed love and marriage were nothing but cages. Dhruv Rajput: a brilliant criminal lawyer, self-made, ambitious, fearless. Yet behind his perfection lies a quiet tragedy - betrayal that shattered his faith in love. His only anchor is his eight-month-old son, Akay. Love? For Dhruv, it's just a mask for the ugliest truths. Ishita Ranawat: strong yet delicate, soft yet unbending. Born into a family that saw daughters as burdens, forced into a toxic marriage, she watched her dreams and identity fade. When she gave life to her daughter, Vamika, she was cast aside. For Ishita, love is a cruel illusion. Two broken people. Two innocent children. Can Akay and Vamika become the reason their parents find light again? Can they heal wounds too deep and make their parents believe in second chances? When destiny forces Dhruv and Ishita into an arranged marriage neither wants, their hearts resist, their scars protest. But love has a way of seeping through even the hardest walls. Will Dhruv learn that not every woman betrays? Will Ishita discover that not every marriage is a cage? His Arranged Wife is a story of strength, trust rebuilt, and wounds healed - where two broken halves may finally find their whole.

A comparison of two relationships- one blossoming, the other decaying. One which starts with a compromise but develops into true and abiding love. The other which starts with lust and degenerates into a sordid deal. How these two relationships collide and how Raman and Ishita protect their budding love from the fallout of Shaguns aborted wedding to Ashok is the tale of Kaun Kiska. In the show, Shaguns wedding is cancelled due to Ashok trapping Mihika. In my story, Ashok tells Shagun he won't marry her because he no longer has any use for her. My story parts ways with YHM at this point, and the ensuing tale is purely a figment of my imagination. Based on characters from the Indian television series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Some Hindi Dialogues - English translations provided. Some mature themes.

"Not fair" she whispered breathlessly. " You're only supposed to look" "Is that right? " his voice was teasing, but thick with passion. " Well, I don't play fair baby" After meeting unexpectedly and becoming marooned together during a blizzard in the wild South of New Zealand, warring Delhi neighbors Raman and Ishita, who profess to hate each other, discover a mutual all consuming passion. Each tries to resist the other, but when their lives collide again in Delhi, the inevitable happens. This is the story of the righteous and softhearted Dr Ishita Iyer and the cynical, embittered and temperamental Raman Bhalla, and their mutual love for Raman's daughter, Ruhi, which acts as a catalyst to bring them together. This story explores their discovery of love, passion and desire, and how they fight the odds, their pasts, their warring families and even themselves, to create a life together. This FanFic is based on the characters from the Indian Television series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, but takes a completely different tangent after the story of the first month of the show. I pick up the tale after the CEO function, when Ishita confronts Raman during his TV interview, after he has her parents arrested due to a misunderstanding. A variation of this story was first published on India Forums between 2015 - 2018. This Wattpad version has been re-written in parts to explore Raman and Ishita's sensual journey towards happiness, and unabashedly celebrates their fiery physical attraction. If sensuality is not your thing, give this one a miss. Otherwise, read on. Some dialogues in Hindi - ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS PROVIDED Some parts have mature themes and content - READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. SOME CHAPTERS ARE PRIVATE. TO READ PLEASE FOLLOW. Cover by Gan.

Set against the evocative backdrop of the beloved show Barrister Babu, Protishruti picks up the story when Bondita Das is fifteen, no longer the child saved from the cruel practice of Sati Pratha, but a young woman awakening to complex truths about her marriage. She discovers how Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the enlightened barrister who returned from Kingston, London, to protect her, never married Bondita out of love. Instead, his union was a sacrifice to save her life. As Bondita's feelings shift from ownership to gratitude, she uncovers a deeper secret: Aniruddha gave up his true love, Saudamini, breaking their engagement to marry her. Why is Saudamini still unmarried? Could the embers of their past love still burn quietly? Meanwhile, Aniruddha wrestles with his growing attraction to Bondita while respecting her unpreparedness. His attempts to keep a distance only deepen misunderstandings, challenging both to confront the realities of their changed relationship. Protishruti is a poignant exploration of love, sacrifice, and the fragile dance of emotions in a marriage born out of duty rather than desire. This novella, originally written in Bengali and translated into English, invites readers to journey through the nuanced struggles and hopes of two souls striving to find their way to each other. For fans of Barrister Babu and lovers of heartfelt, character-driven stories, Protishruti offers a fresh, intimate perspective on a beloved tale.
