I'd always heard the voices. From being a young child when the doctors had long since given up trying to find a cause, the voices woke me, screaming, in the night. But then, they began to guide me. When I started to find the dead bodies - animals, children - I was called a psychic. I was used to help, but I could only find what the voices wanted to show me. But then, one day, the killer chose another victim. It chose me, and only the voices could save me. Except, they weren't just voices. They were.... - Whilst on a long (7.5) hour flight to Wattpad HQ in Toronto, I was watching the film Solace. Part way through, an idea threw itself into my mind and I had to stop the film and start writing immediately. I also had another idea later on, again which I had to write down. This is the first of those ideas and is written for the #OnceUponNow promotion. Don't worry, Red Queen is being worked on too, but sometimes you just need to purge yourself of a story to be able to continue on with another.

I awoke covered in dirt and pine needles, in a forest, surrounded by lush vegetation and brush. It looked like it was afternoon, but I wasn’t positive. I sat up and kneaded my eyes, curious as how I came to be here. “Where am I?” I asked myself. I glanced around, looking for anything familiar, but I was positive I had never been here before. How did I get here? As I tried to stand up, my head began to spin. Suddenly, I realized why I felt so odd. I braced myself against a tree trunk and thought very hard for a moment. We stared at each other and than my hands flew to my mouth when the hockey stick punched him square in the face. The boy's green eyes widened and his body flew backward colliding with the ground. A loud whimper-cry was heard and I saw the football team gathering around him, that was my cue to run. "Run..." I screamed at Olivia and Zen who instantly started to sprint after me. We were soon out of the football field and into the hallway. We literally ran for our lives stopping only when the locker-room came into view. "You are crazy." Olivia panted with hot blush covering her face, sweat bids falling down from her forehead. Zen was red and was hunched over catching his breath. Then she screamed in our faces. "Zen she bloody knocked down the quarterback."

But life goes on, in my case death, I am a vampire, I will live forever with a frozen heart and with a broken soul. When I finally accepted who I am I thought my problems were over but it was only the first chapter of my story. I don't want to let anybody in, in the end they always leave.
