In this story Lucy had a kid from when she was nineteen, and has an abusive boyfriend. She struggles a lot with leaving. "Tim: Lucy! Lucy: why do you even care?!? I'm just some rookie who went through some things! Tim: very bad things, that you haven't had therapy for! Lucy: so you think I'm not stable or something? Tim: that is not what I said! Just try and listen to me Lucy: i have been trying, but everything you say just makes it worse! Tim: I'm sorry Lucy, I'm trying! Lucy: trying for what?!? Why do you care so much about what I do?!? Lucy and Tim met each other at a bar ten years ago. They were drunk and he was desperate, leading to her coming home with him and having a one-night stand. Shortly after she found out she was pregnant, but she never got his name, nor did she see him again after that and she ended up raising their little daughter alone. On the first day of her new job, joining the LAPD as a rookie, she couldn't believe who was her field-training-officer... OR: Lucy and Tim made a drunken mistake and Lucy never told anyone about her daughter Hailee.

Lucy had 2 kids. Tim was her best friend, and the kids thought he was their best friend as well. Cayden was Lucy's husband and the gather to her kids. Tim and cayden never got along.

TW* abuse, rape, kidnapping, sexual references/sex mentions, weapons and swearing Five years before Lucy Chen became a rookie, she meets a guy and do the yk yk. She falls pregnant and has a daughter to raise while navigating her way through her rookie year while being a single mama.

"I'm sorry, I didn't even know-" Tim attempted to tell her, hurriedly and panicked. Lucy silenced him with a finger on his lips, "You know I'm here for you, and him. Always." After Tim and Isabel's divorce, they went no contact. She'd gone to rehab, he'd become a Sergeant. What happens when a 7 year old catalyst comes into play? How does this fair for Lucy and her relationship with Tim?

This is a chenford slowburn. But something is wrong with lucy.. but what? I know i said i would stop writing but this is a story i started writing before the story: who even are you chen. I worked on it every time i had a panick attack. Its finished and feels like a waste if i dont publish it.. Enjoy-
