Some people remember love as a straight line.
Kelly remembers it in versions.
Lucas was supposed to be simple-friendly, warm, easy to talk to. The kind of person everyone trusts without thinking twice.
But the longer she stays close to him, the more something feels... off.
He doesn't always remember things the same way.
Neither do the people around him.
And sometimes, even Kelly isn't sure if she's remembering him correctly-or remembering a version of him that never fully existed.
Then the conversations start to repeat.
But not exactly the same.
Slight changes. Different endings. Different emotions. Like reality is correcting itself every time she blinks.
And Lucas... starts noticing it too.
"I think I already lived this moment," he says once.
Then later, he says he never did.
Until one day, there is no longer a clear "first version" of anything.
Not of him.
Not of her.
Not of what happened between them.
Just fragments of conversations that don't agree on which one came first.
And a terrifying question no one can fully answer anymore:
If every version of him feels real...
then which one is the original?
Or worse-
was there ever one at all?
