Every one thinks that the four most popular girls in school are angels. They're super sweet and beautiful and nice and smart and rich and just perfect. But I know the truth. You may ask how I'm the only one outside of the squad who knows their real selves. I know because I used to be one of them. This is how the squad ruined my life. I'm Ashleigh Burns and I'm telling you this story from a correctional facility. More like juvie. This is my story, and it's a big one, so prepare yourself.

Erika Soto is one of those pretty plastic people. She's been rated a nine by the senior boys every single Monday, and at a school where secrets and weaknesses are taken advantage of, a high rating is a ticket to the school's elite. But there's more to Erika and the Aquino High royalty she surrounds herself with: there's regret, flaws, and a single night that rips them all apart. And after years of clawing her way to the top, for the first time she can see things clearly: she's done with only being pretty and plastic. As her life starts to unravel and her perspectives on everyone she thought she knew change, she has to make a quick decision between living at the top of the pyramid and living with herself. And even if she does choose to take a stand, who's to stay she'll succeed? Can the girls on top really overthrow a system that's years in the making?

❝I- what? What are you talking about? Who is this?❞ ❝Well the bathroom stall says that this number is the gateway to a good time, and unless you're trying to say that a bathroom stall is lying to me, I think I need a little more information to be sold. Do you have like a yelp page I could look up? Past customer reviews? How many stars out of five?❞ ❝What are yo- oh my god, I'm going to fucking kill Marie.❞ (alternatively called: a lot of people shit with pens) written in dialogue // cover by xhemmingshugsx

I nervously took the mic into my trembling hands- which I had no idea to why it was trembling. I had done a few speeches, including the valedictorian speech in front of a much larger audience- and then it struck me. The trembling was not out of fear of the audience. But the fear of myself. BTW THIS IS NOT A TRUE STORY But anyways, Happy reading :) ♡♡Becky_2002♡♡ Highest rating: 699 in short story
