During her journey in collecting spells, Frieren finds a mysterious man asleep inside a cave. Unable to wake him up, she used her magic spell which awaken the sleeping man and there she learned about Y/N known in ancient times as the King of the Monsters, the King of Destruction and the Bringer of Balance. However, he had been rudely woken up in a time of peace where there were no disruptive forces are threatening to destroy the balance of the world so having no other choice and not wanting to hear more of Frieren's begging, he had reluctantly accompanied her.
