You are Detective (y/n) Anderson, the daughter and partner of Lieutenant Hank Anderson. Until a string of android related homicide cases start popping up more frequently. CyberLife has sent android Connor to assist the two of you in your investigations. Hank hates the idea but you don't hate androids. In fact, you believe humans should coexist alongside androids and have conducted your own personal research to help understand them. As the case progresses Connor befriends the two of you. But quickly the android finds himself acting strangely around you. He is unsure of the sensation, believing that he may be malfunctioning.

You've always had an interest in androids ever since you were a child. The very thought that technology could create an intelligent life-form that looked just like a human always fascinated you. You quickly became a high ranking student, at one of the top universities for Android studies. To further your training, you were sent for work experience at Detroit City Police Department, and paired up with Lieutenant Anderson and an android named Connor. As you continue to work alongside Hank and Connor, you soon begin to learn things about androids you never noticed before. You also realize that you are finding yourself falling in love with the one person you are not supposed to fall in love with. 'Purple Hearts' puts a unique spin on the events of Detroit Become Human, showing the story of what is behind the scenes, the true feelings of androids, and the lives they struggle to barely survive on the streets. Throughout the story, you slowly begin to see the world in a different light, and through that, you also learn what it means to become human. Who can you really trust when the humans seem more evil than the androids do? The lines blur between the good and the bad; the human, and the android. --- Genres of drama, action, and romance. It follows the direction of the main plot of Detroit Become Human, but I have added various sub plot lines and characters unique to this fanfiction. There is foul language in this story. You are an 18 year old girl who just graduated from high school and you are excited for your future while you were excited to pursue your dream career, which is painting. But your parents are not accepting of your dream career and also not accepting of the fact that you have an interest in androids. You loved androids ever since you were a child but your parents would always see the worse in them. A few hours after your graduation party with your friends, you parents had a serious talk with you and was giving you lectures and negative thoughts about you, your dream career and your interest for androids and they said that the reason because why they are gonna disown you because of your interest of androids. They also told you that you need to grow up and that you need to start your life even if it means you being homeless. So, they kicked you out and you had no choice but to find shelter for the night, then you see the abandoned house and you meet Ralph. He of course threatened you with the knife to protect himself, you begged him not to kill you and he didn't and he took you in. While you were living with Ralph for a few days, you got to know him better and you two started having feelings for each other. One day, you tell Ralph why you came to the abandoned house and about your past and also about your parents disowning you. He felt bad for you because he knew what it felt like to be hated and unloved and he confessed his feelings for you and you two are now a couple. You and Ralph decide to go to Jericho to ask for help so you would be able to buy a new home and start a new life. I hope you guys like this story. And I just want to let you all know that you are loved, you matter and your family and everyone else that you love loves you so much, especially your parents. They are always here for you. Currently, you investigated human crimes. Recently, you've been given the task of investigating cases involving deviant androids. The sudden change from investigating humans to androids is going to be tough to get used to, but you knew you could handle it. They also decided to partner you up with Hank Anderson, which surprised you considering he hated androids. You had nothing against androids, unlike you're partner, Hank. You had no reason to hate them, they had never done anything to wrong you. Most of them are actually quite nice, not counting the deviants. Hank had always been like a father to you, and like any other human he would easily get upset and angered, sometimes even lashing out on you. You knew that he never meant any of the harsh words, so you stuck by his side. When you were both assigned to the same investigation, you had both decided to go to the bar to celebrate. Everything seemed fine, until an android walked into the bar. Everyone watched as he approached us. "Lieutenant Anderson, Detective (l/n), my name is Connor. I'm the android sent by CyberLife."
