At the dawn of the War, Great Britain trembled beneath the threat of a global conflict, under a sky fractured by bombs and shells. The pupils of St Edmund, that cream-walled, whitewashed institution, should have been seeking refuge on the other side of the Atlantic. Who could have imagined that they would wage their own war, beneath the shadow of scorched palm trees? And what was this beast, crouched in the tropical night? Simon's madness, Ruth's singularity-or Roger's violence? [𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘧 𝘹 𝘰𝘤]

Have you ever seen a story of a manipulator bound to a psychopath? Surely, it's common. Yet, not as common when it happens in the 1950's with the detonation of Nuclear War. When it happened between two teenagers at the age of 15. When it happened in an isolated island away from society. In a place when all humanity is lost and the beast took it's toll. Sylvia(oc) was never one to be afraid. Not even when adults pry into her game. This time, the burning flames of the abyss scared her when she saw how easily these school boys burned down the island, trying to smoke their so called "chief" out. Frightening, specially when the idea came from a certain blonde. now, I'm not the one to spoil. If you've read my Jack x Reader fanfic, you know how I write. In this one, you'll be quite surprised with how the tables have turned. And not all humans are saints and angels. Sylvia was never made to fit into your "I can change him trope." Rather, she'd lovingly embrace the mans' versatility and ability to be one with the island. Sylvia has always been one to observe. always there to stare. Roger was always one to follow power. Gives him privilege and respect. Both saw how they all became a rotten halo.

Scarlett was the only girl left from Saint Catherine's choir. She used to sing in perfect harmony, soft, controlled, untouched. But the island doesn't care about who you were before. And the longer she stays, the more she starts to sound like something else entirely.

Three months after the crash, the island has stopped being a place to wait for rescue and started being a place to die. For Dahlia, survival is a relentless, exhausting game of shadows-protecting the littluns, covering her tracks, and never letting the tribe see how badly she's shaking. But a different kind of darkness is closing in, one that doesn't come with hunting chants or painted faces. It comes from the quietest boy on the island. Roger has always been the tribe's most dangerous predator, a boy who deals in cruelty without spectacle. But when his attention shifts from the hunt to her, the line between predator and prey begins to blur. In a world where civilization has burned away, Dahlia finds herself caught in a deadly orbit with the only person who truly sees her. As the island demands they surrender to savagery, she'll have to decide whether she's fighting to escape him... ...or whether, somewhere along the way, she started waiting for him to emerge from the trees.
