Inure: (v.) To accustom to accept something undesirable, evil, or painful. An other worldly girl is reincarnated as Queen Estella de Royalis, the villainess of a novel that is killed by her own husband. Having no other choice, she strives to save herself from that fate. However, the novel she read is not the reality she believed. ______ I tried on another, a red one this time. I twirl in its large skirt. "This one matches your eyes," I say as I spin. "This one too." I stop, putting my hands on my hips. "Are you going to order all of them?" "If I want to, yes, I will." He doesn't budge. I sigh, sitting next to him. "You know that you don't have to do this. I can go buy my own dresses." "I know, but I want to see you wear dresses that I chose. Besides, is it so wrong to want to spend time with you?" ______ Note: This is entirely my work. I want to see if I'm able to write something without a plot set up for me. I hope you like it!

I've been reincarnated into the very web novel I used to mock endlessly with my friends-and even in the comment sections. Who could blame me? It was the epitome of clichés: a forced marriage, endless misunderstandings between husband and wife, suffocating angst, the heroine's dramatic escape, and the inescapable regret of the so-called male lead. Predictable, frustrating, and utterly tiresome. Yet here I am, inhabiting the role of that very heroine in 'Husband Is Regretting.' My first priority? Divorce the walking red flag I've been shackled to. But for some reason, the more I ignore him, the more fixated he becomes. And if that wasn't confusing enough, a side character who was supposed to appear only once suddenly approaches me with a bold question: "Shall I be your secret lover?" What on earth is going on in this story? Owner of the cover X\@irt_5433

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That was what they whispered about me. My mother was a dancer who seduced an Emperor to survive. I was the ignored princess who seduced a Prince to steal a throne. I thought I was the heroine of a romance novel. I thought if I smiled enough, schemed enough, and loved him enough, I would get my happily ever after. I was wrong. My sister was the beloved Cinderella. The Crown Prince was her Prince Charming. And I? I was just the wicked stepsister who got in the way. My reward for stealing the male lead was a hellish marriage, a cold bed, and a lonely death. Now, I have returned to the beginning. I'm done chasing fairytales. I'm done trying to be someone I'm not. This time, I won't go to the ball. I won't wear the glass slipper. I will just fade into the background and disappear. Or so I thought. "Careful, Your Highness." On the balcony where I tried to hide from the world, a hand caught me. It wasn't a Prince. It was a Knight I had never noticed before. I wanted to retire from this fairytale, but it seems the story isn't done with me yet

Falling into the fiery hell she created must've been the perfect way for her to die. The other woman would then become the heroine that saved the town's people from the mad queen that burnt half of the population down and the duke would become the hero that protected the heroine. They would then be wed and have little children. They would live happily in the new world that they would create after vanquishing the evil queen. They would then lead the people unto a prosperous era of peace. Just... Where?... Where did I go wrong? When I am reborn, will you please give me a simple life?

She didn't do drama, didn't take nonsense from any man. Until him. For Cassian, she broke every one. A cliché, impossible mother in law? She handled it. Missed dinners because of work? She served herself double and waited anyway. Too tired to spend time together? She embraced the quiet hours alone. She forgot her limits, abandoned her rules. All for him. Until her. The one rule she couldn't break, the limit she couldn't cross. She saw him with her. Broken, she left and whispered a wish she never thought would come true: that she had never met him. The wish was granted. Alessia woke up and didn't remember him. But now Cassian is the one waiting. Running against time to be near her. Chasing every moment, following every rule, just so she might remember him again. And if she can't... Can he remember it all for both of them?

"It always made you feel powerful when I beg, right?" Morana murmured, her eyes softening as she lowered herself to the cold floor. "So let me beg." Nerezza always knew how to clean up her messes. Knew where to scrape, where to smooth over with a domestic shine of innocence. Erase the evidence. Rephrase the story. Recalibrate the damage. But what happens when the mess starts talking back?

"Do you know what I do to girls who don't answer when they're spoken to?" she murmured, her voice dripping with quiet menace under the mask. "N-no," Salma breathed, her voice barely audible as she kept her eyes locked on Nerezza's dark eyes. Nerezza hummed, tilting Salma's chin up with a gloved hand, her grip firm but teasing. "I fuck the answers out of them," she whispered, each word slow and deliberate. ••••• Salma, a well known radio show host, is used to strange calls-but nothing like this. One Wednesday morning, an anonymous woman dials in live on air, her voice low, dripping with eerie amusement as she confesses to a murder. Convinced it's a twisted prank, Salma plays along, her tone teasing-until the caller whispers something only Salma could know. What starts as a disturbing coincidence spirals into a chilling obsession. Night after night, the woman calls back, turning Salma into her unwilling confidante, her chosen messenger. Each call comes with cryptic clues, taunts wrapped in silken words, a deadly puzzle Salma is forced to solve-because if she doesn't, she'll be the next victim. But fear gives way to fascination. Then obsession. As the game between them intensifies, Salma finds herself drawn to the voice on the other end of the line-a voice that knows her deepest fears, her darkest desires. The hunt for the truth becomes a tangled web of danger, passion, and something far more dangerous than death. They should be enemies. One is the hunter, the other the prey. But what happens when they fall in love? Written by: Tzipora Rosen Edited by: Lean Catherine Benton Disclaimer: Sexually explicit content Violence Strong language 🏆 #1 horror-thriller 🏆 #1 Toxic
