Knowing he could be cast out of society forever, and knowing even if he remained king, he would suffer much and die young, King Baldwin IV determines to rule to the best of his ability although he often faces impossible odds with his inexperience and illness, but he refuses to give up. This is a collection of poetry and short stories based on the real life of King Baldwin IV. King Baldwin IV won his first battle at the age of 16 against the infamous Sultan Salah ad-Din of the Ayyubid Dynasty. He is admired for his willpower and dedication to the Latin Kingdom despite suffering leprosy, which forced him to wear masks and bandages. He is eventually becomes blind and unable to use his hands or his feet. He then died in 1185, with no cure for Leprosy.
