One thing most wouldn't know about addiction is that, you can't just stop. Your bound to relapse one day, its like a bomb, its going to go off. Vance knew Bruce had little to know idea he had done drugs in the past. He know Bruce thought it was a rumor or one time thing. He didn't know it was like this thought. Only people close to Vance knew it wasn't a rumor. They had seen him at his peak of addiction. When he would go days without eating. Or when he felt so worthless he cut himself. And the drugs, oh the drugs. this book is a little like the show euphoria but different, there will be mass differences in the characters and setting and parents.
