Since becoming a trainer, Red has become quite skilled in battle and has established close friendships with his Pokemon. However he has never been very good with people or making friends. Because of this, his mother decides to send him to work at Professor Oak's summer camp for the summer in the hope that he'll grow in that aspect. Red doesn't think anything will come of it but who knows? For all he knows it could be the greatest thing that's ever happened to him.
