The year is 1780, and Netherfield Park is let at last.
The news throws the quaint city of Hertfordshire into a terrific stir, with marriage hunting mamas scrambling to ensure their chances of success with the impending arrival of the wealthy bachelor. Lady Dulcibella Harrington, three and twenty, however, is much removed from the excitement, for she feels none of which her Mama too feels.
Living in her upper-class family's home at the Harington Hall, she witnesses how the city, people, and the places she frequents, shift and twist, with the bachelor's arrival. Amused, yet detached, Dulcibella does not foresee that the change will completely alter the axis of her own life as well, throwing her into her heart's tumultuous depths than even the Bennet sisters are subjected to.
With this impending arrival of the tenant, the city as she knows it changing, and the arrival of a childhood friend she had long seemingly forgotten, Lady Dulcibella must navigate her path through the web of drama she is entangled into, or else her heart won't survive.
And so, she sits down to pen everything she can, to her dear elder sister abroad.
