My eyes settled on the city ahead. The smoke coming from it filled the air, making it hard to breathe, even though we're a couple miles away. I look away and concentrate on something else. The sun. It's shining bright and beautiful as always. As if today was just like any other day. Like I wasn't standing here with a bunch of strangers, planning a way to keep ourselves alive and look for others; look for help. But it was, and even though I didn't want to accept it, nothing would ever be the same. Not with them walking around, groaning and trying to eat each and one of us.
