Zuko stays at the Northern water tribe 4 times a year. Sokka also happens to vist the northern water for Yue. Sokka isn't used to the cold nights of the northern water tribe and ends up using the fire bender boy to keep warm.

*Under Editing 3/22 chapters done* This story starts when Zuko abandons Ozai to go join the gaang but in the process he keeps thinking about the beautiful water tribe boy wondering if he feels the same.

[I wrote this awhile ago but never posted it] preview: I was walking the streets of the Northern Water Tribe. It reminded me of the conversations I had with Princess Yue about 10 years ago. "Let's do an... activity together-" I remember telling her. We laughed about it until her death. - But this day, I'm not here so Aang can learn Waterbending or for me to flirt with a girl. Katara wanted her second child--her first daughter- to be born in the Northern tribe. I found myself sitting on a bench by a pond, but close enough to the hospital where my sister and the Avatar were. As time went on, I noticed that almost all my friends were married. Zuko had Mai (pretty sure) and I didn't know about toph, if she had a love life or anything. "I hope Toph's okay." I think to myself. then it dawns on me. I have Suki! I jumped up and ran to my home - yes, I have two houses. As the Chief of the Southern tribe, I own two homes - anyway, I open the door and notice aFire Nationn messenger hawk. No. not just any messenger hawk. It was Hawky! "How 'ya been, Hawky?" I ask my old friend. He doesn't remember me, and squawks and flaps his wings in my face, messing up my hair, and placing a letter in my hand, then flying out an empty window. I eagerly open the scroll and notice it's Suki's handwriting. I began to read. Before i knew it, tears were rolling down my face and onto the page... "Take this to Firelord Zuko in the capital city in the fire nation," I command the bird. I don't have to say anything more and the messenger hawk is on its way. I take a detour to the spirit oasis, the last place I had seen Yue - now Moon-Spirit Yue- and sit on a rock by the pond, watching the spirit fish swim in a circle. I felt tears start welling up and I left.

Takes place maybe 5-6 years after ATLA arc. Aged up. Edit: Zuko doesn't have the best people skills, or leadership skills to be honest. But guess who does? It may take some time for him to realize it, but Zuko enlists Sokka to help with another redemption arc for the Fire Nation. Working together, learning together, loving toge- who said anything about that?! Wait, are there feeling here? Feelings can't get in the way of the mission...world peace is at stake! (Also, how I want to envision the bridge between ALTA and LoK to be established. All it takes is some gayyy) "It's the meeting with the other nations. They all think I have all the answers!" Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy." If I could officially write a canon story that would allow Zukka to happen it would be this one and it takes place right after the comics. The New Ozai Society has once again been reformed but this time by a new familiar leader. During the Fire Festival Fire Lord Zuko hosts one of Team Avatar's members gets kidnapped. The rest of Team Avatar goes on a journey to save them. During their journey Katara unlocks a new terrifying ability in a life threatening fight, which completely reveals the hidden secrets exposed in Legend of Korra. Meanwhile on the journey Zuko and Sokka grow so close, unclear by what they might discover forced to look into themselves and find a brand new meaning of what love truly is. Once everyone thinks the journey is over something way worse occurs which may result in another World War. The positive and horrendous things discovered by Team Avatar will shape the future of not just the Fire Nation, but the whole world.
