El mar se vuelve oscuro, frío... y Rusia siente que se hunde cada vez más. Cuando abre los ojos otra vez, está tirado en la arena de la playa, empapado, respirando con dificultad. No recuerda cómo logró salir del agua. Confundido, mira el océano, preguntándose qué ocurrió realmente... hasta que, a lo lejos, entre las olas, cree ver una silueta. Algo -o alguien- estaba allí. Rusia intenta acercarse para descubrir qué vio, con el corazón latiéndole rápido, pero justo en ese momento la voz de su padre lo llama desde la distancia, exigiendo que vuelva al palacio de inmediato. Sin tener otra opción, el príncipe se aleja del mar, aunque no puede dejar de mirar hacia atrás. †Porque en lo profundo del océano, donde los humanos casi nunca llegan, existe otro reino.
