In a town where people vanish without explanation, an abandoned circus appears only at night.
Nobody remembers when it arrived. Nobody remembers leaving it.
Memphis has spent his entire life haunted by things he cannot explain - voices behind locked doors, strangers who recognize him, dreams of drowning beneath black water, and a name that does not feel like his own. When a series of disappearances begins surrounding the old Harlequin grounds, he finds himself drawn toward the decaying circus at the edge of town alongside a quiet hunter named Dante.
Inside, the performers never remove their masks. Children whisper about a ghost with blue eyes wandering the tents after midnight. And somewhere beneath the laughter and music, something ancient waits in the dark.
The deeper Memphis searches for the truth, the more reality begins to fracture around him. Memories disappear. Faces change. Time refuses to move correctly. Worst of all, he begins to suspect that the circus is not hiding him from something-
but hiding something from him.
Because years ago, three children vanished without a trace.
And one of them may still be alive.
Or something wearing his face might be.
