Buck is 9 when his sister leaves him and his family alone for her boyfriend Doug when she turns 18. Still at age 9, Buck realizes he's getting even less and less attention from his parents causing him to increase his reckless ideas from skateboarding accidents to playing with fires. He's craving any type of attention from his parents even negative. Bobby Nash firefighter Captain of the 118 lost his family in a fire. His firehouse gets a call of a reported house fire and the only person saved is a small kid named Evan Buckley. Without any family willing to take him, and the police unable to locate his sister, Bobby gets clearance to give the child a roof over his head. He was drawn to the boy, and he knows he can take good care of him.

Evan Buckley can't get Eddie Diaz out of his head. After a passionate evening in the bathroom of a bar, Buck thinks that he'll never see Eddie again. Until Eddie gets hired on as the new recruit at the 118 fire house. Now, both men must struggle with their desire for each other, and being teammates. As well as learning things about himself, Buck must come to term with the secrets that Eddie is keeping, and whether or not he can be with someone who initially lied to him. Buck find's a new hobby and Eddie is going insane. Buck was beginning to split his time between fire fighter life and life with the Diaz's. It shouldn't drive him crazy and it shouldn't affect him like this. Buck was just his best friend - his partner. He wasn't his boy friend. And he wasn't far he was always there if he needed him. So if he needed some time away. He would take it like a big boy.

Summary: Buck and Eddie go to the firefighter Olympics in Nashville where they are confronted by the best firefighters in the country, some challenges and their feelings. Context: The story starts right after season 9 episode 6, except Bobby is still alive because I want him to be alive. No one wants Bobby dead thank you. The dynamic of the 118 is still rough, but it's due to Hen's illness. I do not own any of the characters mentionned in this story. They are character of the TV Show 9-1-1 on ABC.
