What if season 3 episode 9 of The Rookie went differently? What if when Lucy was "confessing" her feelings Tim did too?

Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford fell in love with eachother at the age of fifteen. They both had complicated lives at home and found peace with eachother. And on Tim's sixteenth birthday their relationship took a step that would change their lives forever. That night was the night they both felt safest in their entire lives and one thing lead to another. About a month later Lucy found out she was pregnant and she tried her best to hide it from her parents for two months but her body started changing so she broke down and told them. She thought they would be supportive and help her through it but instead they started yelling. After a few days of arguing, they agreed to let her keep it so for the next six months Lucy hid her pregnancy from everyone except her parents and Tim. But when she gave birth, her parents kept Tim out of the loop and didn't tell Lucy their plan. They had put Lucy's baby up for adoption and we're taking Lucy and moving to D.C. For years Lucy completely ignored her parents presence and their relationship shattered, especially since they refused to tell her anything about her daughter or let her contact Tim. For years Tim thought Lucy had chosen to keep him from his daughter and that resulted in his permanent horrible mood. Even after ten years he was constantly scowling and earned the nickname grumpy cop when he joined the LAPD. He only ever smiled around his friends, Mom and sister, but even then it was always like he was forcing it. Until Lucy transferred to his station from D.C. Over the next five years they got back together, got married and had a daughter who they named Addy and that grumpy cop nickname disappeared. They were still looking for their first born daughter but refused to let it consume them. Until they arrested a group of kids and find out the truth about the fifteen year old girl. Rose.

Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen were once Hollywoods favourite couple, known for their chemistry in their acting and modeling gigs in the early 2000s. Everyone loved them, no matter what Age or Gender, but they wanted different things. Tim wanted to take a step back from the limelight and settle down with Lucy, but she wanted to keep going for a few more years and eventually settle down. They constantly argued about what they wanted to do, so at the ages of 20 and 25, in 2010, they broke up. 8 years after their fateful breakup, Tim Bradford is working as a sergeant and the watch commander of Mid-Wilshire Police Station. He has completely set aside his past and only a select few in the station know about it, but one thing he can't set aside is Lucy Chen, the only girl he has ever truly loved. One thing Tim doesn't know is Lucy finally stepped down from her acting and modelling career a little over a year ago as she's wasn't getting as many jobs. As the true adrenaline junkie she is she tried to find a fast pace job that she can get with her qualifications, and she found her way to the police academy. She made two amazing friends and got assigned to North Hollywood Police Station. Shortly after becoming a P2 she transfered to Mid-Wilshire where she finds out the watch commander is her ex boyfriend that she will always be a little in love with. Tim Bradford. And what she definitely didn't expect is that they are both asked to go to Milan for a modelling reunion and they both agree without the other knowing.

Fate brings them together in person when they are both selected to attend a tactical training bootcamp, however she mistakes a different participant named Noah for the man she had been falling for virtually. What starts as a few simple messages and withstands some misunderstandings evolves into an enduring connection.

This is a The Rookie story of truth or dare and i think everyone knows where its going to lead. I just hope i'm able to put something out there that is entertaining and as strong as what i've read. i have previously read some truth or dare stories before on them and genuinely love them. my goal for this is to be able to write one myself. i love the writing that people are able to give through these stories and hope that once mine is out there and completed that you guys love it !!

We're all anticipating what Episode 6 of Season 7 will be like, and how Chenford will interact with each other, so I've decided to write my own version of the episode, mostly chenford centred, as if I had creative control over the show (lol). For 5 years..Lucy and Tim were together...but in Tim's heart..there was only Ashley...the one who saved him 5 years ago when he got shot.. Lucy played the devoted girlfriend thinking that Tim loved her..she loved him so much...until one overheard phone call changed everything... Btw I kinda used the net short story as inspiration it's called the mafia boss's regret take note that some scenes are coped lines as well so I want to give full credit to net short.
